The design of goods and systems can be described as an optimization problem. We study algorithms that will efficiently find the best solution to an optimization problem from among a number of candidate solutions. However, optimization problems having more than one measure of the goodness of a solution may not have only a single solution that is the best solution. So, we determine groups of multiple different solutions called Pareto optimal solutions.
