Kindai University - Public Announcement Support for Students Affected by U.S. Study Abroad Program Suspensions

Overview

Considering the suspension of study abroad programs at institutions such as Harvard University, Kindai University will accept affected students under the following conditions.

Eligible Applicants

Students enrolled in or planning to attend universities in the United States.

1.Degree-Seeking Students (Undergraduate / Graduate)

  • Requirements:
    • Take Kindai University's entrance exam for international students
    • Undergraduate: Have sufficient Japanese proficiency to understand academic content taught in Japanese in their field of study
    • Graduate: Japanese or English proficiency deemed sufficient by the graduate school
  • Enrollment: April 2026
  • Exam Dates:
    • Early Admission: October 11, 2025
    • Regular Admission: February 21, 2026
  • Support:
    • Tuition exemption (per scholarship policy) and housing assistance

2. Non-Degree Seeking Students (Undergraduate / Graduate)

  • Eligibility: Japanese nationals or foreign residents of Japan
    • Undergraduate: Have sufficient Japanese proficiency to understand academic content taught in Japanese in their field of study
    • Graduate: Japanese or English proficiency deemed sufficient by the graduate school
  • Enrollment: September 2025 or April 2026
  • Support:
    • Exemption from course fees and housing assistance
