Kindai Short-Term Japanese Program
Kindai University launched a new short term Japanese language/culture program for the students who are currently attending our partner universities.
The program is distinctive in the way that it consists of interaction with Kindai University students and hands-on Japanese traditional culture experiences that may include the Japanese martial arts, Budo.
The Japanese language course is also peculiar in the sense that various levels are available, from elementary level without no learning experience to intermediates.
Please be aware that this program is non-credit. The certificate of completion is provided.
Program Period: July 1, 2025 ~ July 18, 2025
Application Period April 7, 2025 ~ April 25, 2025 (Japan Time)
* Any application received outside of the application period will not be accepted.
Participant Capacity Minimum 20 – Maximum 30
- The program is cancelled if the number of applicants does not reach the minimum number of participant.
- The application will be closed once we reach the capacity of participants. (First-come and first- served basis)
- The maximum capacity will be subject to change, depending on the accommodation availability.
Program Fee: ¥300,000 (incl. Accommodation, Airport pickup and Textbook)
Payment Method: Online payment with a credit card through the Kindai online system
(Visa, MasterCard, JCB, Diners Club and American Express are available.)

★Japanese Language Course 34.5 hours (90 min x 23 classes) |
★Japanese Culture Experience (Once or twice a week, incl. one day trip to Kyoto) |

Requirements
- Applicants must be enrolled as full-time students in an undergraduate or a graduate program at one of Kindai's partner universities through the entire program period.
- Applicants must not hold any residence status in Japan at the time of application and must join the program as a tourist.
- Applicants must be able to join ALL scheduled lectures and activities.
- Applicants should be able to understand English or Japanese at a basic conversational level in order to follow the extra cultural activities.

The whole application process

- Submit all application documents together by email to isc@itp.kindai.ac.jp
※Please note that only those applicants from who we have received all the completed application materials will be placed in the order of receipt for acceptance into the program. Just sending a part of the application materials in advance will not reserve you a place in the program. - 2)
- A confirmation email along with the program fee payment instruction is sent to applicants whose participation in the program is accepted.

- Complete the program fee payment by following the payment instruction.

- Submit a copy of your flight ticket and overseas travel insurance certificate
※Program participants are required to arrive at Kansai International Airport at the time/date designated by Kindai. The detailed schedule will be informed later. - 5)
- For those who require a visa to participate in the program, please note that the residence status that Kindai University can be a sponsor is limited to temporary visitor: Tourism.
No documents other than the Letter of Acceptance and a program schedule will be provided.
