Summary

The chief objective of the English Language and Literature Course at Kindai University is to teach students not only practical English but the whole range of Anglo-American literature. The reason why we put an emphasis on the importance of literary education is that the ability to critically think, write essays, present ideas in front of an audience obtained through serious literary education is most indispensable to live in such a incessantly changing and global age as ours. We are proud that there is no other private university in Western Japan that provides students with such a substantial content of Anglo-American literature as well as language proficiency.
