The cover of the October 2020 issue of Nihon Butsuri Gakkaishi, a membership journal of the Physical Society of Japan (JPS), includes a graph showing the computational results obtained by Yuya Miyamoto, who graduated from the Electronic Engineering program of the Graduate School of Science in Engineering in March 2020.
Furthermore, the magazine's "Researches" section features the joint research being carried out by Kindai University and the Japan Atomic Energy Agency, focusing on Miyamoto's work.
The article concerns nuclear fission for fermium (Fm, atomic number 100), and how Miyamoto and his fellow researchers solved the 40-year puzzle concerning the structure of the fission by using dynamics modeling.
