Introduction

The aim of our laboratory is to create new drugs by organic synthesis and to develop useful synthetic methods for drug discovery.
Bioactive natural products, like indole derivatives, have interesting bioactivity that remain excellent options for the development of novel drugs.
We study the synthesis of natural products containing an indole skeleton in order to synthesize derivatives, which we expect to be promising candidates for novel drug development.
We also develop eco-conscious reactions mediated by hypervalent iodine reagent(s), non-metal and safe oxidizing reagent(s) that have practical application for the research of drugs.
