Elucidation of the mechanism for epidermal differentiation for in vitro construction of human skin
Development of the fundamental cell technology for realization of regenerative medicine and therapy

Introduction

Our aim is to obtain higher quality, and clinically safer mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) from human adipose tissue for regenerative medicine.
Using these MSCs, we are trying to develop highly efficient methods for analyzing differentiation into target cells as well as ways to elucidate the underlying mechanism of those differentiation processes.
Moreover, we conduct preclinical studies to on stem cell therapy for various serious diseases including familial hypercholesterolemia.
On the basis of these studies, we are moving forward with technological and ethical development for regenerative medicine and therapy.
