Bio-Coke Research Institute holds seminar for kids on renewable energy

On December 26, 2020, the Kindai University Bio-Coke Research Institute (Eniwa, Hokkaido) held a seminar on cutting-edge research regarding renewable energy for upper-grade elementary school children and junior high school students.
The seminar was part of the university's efforts to contribute to society through education about energy. Stringent precautions were taken at the venue to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Every autumn Kindai University's Faculty of Science and Engineering holds its Mathematics Contest for math enthusiasts of all ages. During 2020, in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19, a special version of the event was held online from October 27 to November 17.

13th joint information session on universities for learning about outer space held online

On September 20, 2020, the 13th "Universities for Learning About the Universe (Astronomy)" joint information session for prospective students was held online.
Three professors of physics from Kindai University's Department of Science took part in the event. Many high school and college students with an interest in the cosmos participated.

2nd Faculty of Sci.& Eng. cross-disciplinary exchange meeting

On March 3, 2nd Faculty of Sci.& Eng. cross-disciplinary exchange meeting was held. Prof. Takashi Harada (Dept. of Mech. Eng.) gave a lecture entitled "Hard Intelligence - Embeded Intelligence into Mechanism," and Prof. Hisashi Handa (Dept. of Informatics) presented "Soft Inteligence of Robots - Robots as Interfaces." After the meeting, a mixer was held.

Lectures by Prof. Sebbar of Bordeaux University

On Apri 16, Prof. Sebbar of Bordeaux University gave a talk titled `` Humbert Polynomials and the equation x^3+y^3+z^3-3xyz=1" at Mathematics Seminar in Kindai University. Not only specialists but also many graduate and undergraduate students attended the seminar.

On Apri 17, Prof. he gave a lecture for junior students of Math Department in English. In the beginning of the lecture, he gave a clear explanation of the Euler constants and finally he led the audience to the relation between the Euler constant and the Riemann hypothesis.
